What we do

Our business started in 1996 when Malcolm Edwards retired from Leicestershire County Council after having spent over 30 years as the lead officer dealing with Private Street Adoptions, APCs, Highway Agreements (S38 / S278 / S184, etc.) and Adoptions.

Over the next few years, the business grew, and other experienced ex-Local Highway Authority Officers were recruited specialising in Development Control, Highway Agreements and Transport Strategy.

Our business philosophy has always been to proactively recruit the most highly respected and experienced local highway authority officers as they become available.

On this basis we have accumulated an unequalled Team focusing on providing support for local highway authorities in specialist areas including Highway Development Management, Highway Agreements (S38 /

S278 / S184, etc.), site inspections, Transport Strategy including transport evidence for Local Plans and funding bids / business cases to DfT.

We have now grown to an Highways & Transportation team of over a dozen staff. All our senior staff have extensive and relevant local authority experience focusing on the above-listed areas.
 

The largest part of our business supports Local Highway Authorities mainly in the Midlands, particularly related to the above specialisms. We do not try and compete with large consultancies who focus on providing a commodity style of support on a ‘Day’ rate for long periods.
 

Our focus is to provide ‘bespoke’ support for our clients which is flexible, proactive, and good value for money.
